Switching To The Surreal

Children always have a dream to be more than themselves.  This is called imagination, believing in the impossible like wizards and witches, vampires and werewolves.  Believing that something mythical truly exists.  I have to admit, I'm still waiting for my Hogwarts acceptance letter.  Some people carry imagination their with them through their lives, these are the people that are really worth knowing, they will never get boring.  I keep my imagination rolling through books, and there is one series I would really love to be apart of.
The Mortal Instruments series is a complete world of it's own.  There are demons, werewolves, vampires, faeries and the main focus, shadowhunters.  Shadowhunters hunt the vampires, faeries, demons and werewolves that misbehave and don't follow the rules that are set out for their kind and humans to exist in harmony. They however constantly fight demons because they don't have a civil bone/goo in their bodies.  Clary is a 16 year old shadowhunter however she has been grown up as a mortal, she gets caught up in something her mother never wanted, not that it matters what she wanted when she goes missing.  She also manages to watch her nerdy best friend Simon turn into a vampire.  All of this happens because of one night in a dance club when she sees what others can't, she can see behind the glamour casted by the shadowhunters.  That's how she meets Jace, Isabelle and Alec, she doesn't realize at the time how caught up she will be in their lives.  Clary's mother gets kidnapped by her crazy power hungry father whom has mistakenly made Clary one of the most powerful shadowhunters.  If I could trade places with anyone in a novel it would have to be Clary Farechild probably because of the unbelievable world she gets thrown into.
A reason I would want to trade places with Clary is to know such an amazing world could exist.  Her experience is every degree of terrifying and wonderful all at the same time.  All these glorious creatures that could really exist it is a nightmare and a dream.  Beauty and disaster all in one room, all in one fight.  Real faeries like tinkerbell, well much much more malicious than tinkerbell I suppose, but they are fay so it counts for something.
The second reason I would want to trade places with Clary is her relationship with Jace, their relationship is beautiful and passionate and real. Well as real as a fictional relationship can get.  They basically have this Romeo and Juliet star crossed lovers complex and it's really wonderful and awful, it really keeps you torn. Also her amazing friendship with Simon, who is seriously an amazing character whom I would get along with so very well because he loves anime as much as I do.  Her relationship with her mother is also something I wish I had, her mom is an artist I mean how cool would that be?
The third reason I would want to be Clary is her bravery.  She is as fiery as her flaming hair and her ambition is untamed.  When her mother was taken she went right away and tried to find her no matter the cost.  She was surrounded by all these terrifying horrible things and wasn't allowed even in her own home and she managed to make it without a single whimper.  She learned on her own who she really is which is something I admire greatly in her.  She however made it dangerous for herself by being so impulsive.  Some may call her stupid for being so careless but I think it just showed her bravery more.  It is inspiring, she is truly a beautiful character.
This being my favorite series of books and Cassandra Clare being one of my favorite authors I don't think there is anyone I would rather trade places with.  These novels are so captivating, I've never loved a book more, nothing has ever seemed so real as I read.  I've never wished a book was real, probably because I usually read Chuck Palaniuck but still I do wish Cassandra Clare's world was real.
